Nanaimo Townhomes for Sale: Prices and Areas
Browse townhomes across Nanaimo, from lower-priced units in the south end to higher-priced ones in Departure Bay. Use the area and price filters to narrow the list, since asking prices change a lot from one part of the city to the next.
Roughly a third of current townhome listings ask under $500K, and most of the rest fall between $500K and $1M. Only a few go higher. South Nanaimo has the lowest median ask, around $427K, while North Nanaimo, which has the most listings, sits closer to $672K. Central Nanaimo lands between the two at about $535K, so it is worth comparing all three before narrowing your search.
Prices cover a wide span. The least expensive townhomes and the most expensive are separated by a very large gap, but the bulk of listings sit in a much tighter band around the middle. If your budget is flexible, it helps to browse both sides of the median rather than filtering too narrowly at the start. The few listings priced well above the rest are better treated as a separate group.
North Nanaimo has the largest share of listings, so it offers the most to compare. South Nanaimo is next, followed by Central Nanaimo, Departure Bay and Diver Lake, each with a smaller selection. Departure Bay has the highest median ask of these five areas, at about $850K. Diver Lake comes in around $630K, a little under North Nanaimo.
For the money, a typical townhome here is about 1,350 sq ft and was built in 2007. Compare size and age alongside price, since two townhomes with the same ask can differ on both. Check the strata information on any listing you like, and use the area filters to see how the same budget stretches in different parts of the city.
